Come to Port Douglas and help celebrate Australia Day with us.

To get you started with Australia Day celebrations here is the answer to the perennial pub quiz question: 1788, the year that the first fleet landed at Sydney Cove and took possession of the land in the name of King George III. Thereafter, the date of the 26th of January was set by the colony’s immigrants to “celebrate their love of the land they lived in” with “drinking and merriment”.
